Cotswolds Single Malt Peated Cask is a very smoky whisky with a beautiful golden colour. Not too smoky like a campfire burning directly under your nose, but still well present. This whisky originates from England and is made from malted barley called Odyssey after which it was allowed to mature for some time on former peated quarter casks. Which gives the whisky that ‘’fireplace from a distance‘’ aroma. Complemented by notes of toffee and toasted sesame seeds, cinnamon and soft juicy sultanas. Its flavour kicks off with fruity notes of apricot, apple and peach. Followed by several soft hints of sea salt and cedar. Finished by ant-sweet honey and floral barley. Where the final flavour that lingers on your tongue is that of spicy smoke. This whisky has an alcohol content of 59.6%.
