This bottling pays tribute to Lemuel “Lem” Tolley, the third Master Distiller (1941–1964).

With 74 maturing cellars containing 1.6 million casks, Jack Daniel's is one of the largest distilleries in the world. But it is certainly not this gigantism that gives the one nicknamed ‘Jack’ its unique character and distinct flavours. Unlike its cousins in Kentucky who produce bourbon, Jack Daniel's follows the Lincoln County Process, a unique process in which distillate is passed through a layer of maple coals before being casked. This allows the heaviest elements to be retained and promotes the homogeneity of the distillate.
