Mount Gay 1703 The Copper Stills Vol. 2 Small Batch Rum is released in a limited edition, only 4800 bottles of both the Copper Pot and Copper Column have been produced worldwide with 350ml of divine rum from Barbados. What makes this duo unique is that each bottle was distilled thanks to a different method: Copper Pot distillation versus Copper Colum distillation. Both rum bottles have enjoyed the same recipe, fermentation and maturation and yet the taste is strikingly different. Thanks to this duo, you can experience for yourself how improbably complex and unfathomable the world of sprits really is. Mount Gay refers to the year 1703 when the distillery first started. Mount Gay 1703 has delicate aromas of vanilla, spices, caramel, wood and ripe exotic fruits such as mango, banana and pineapple. The island of Barbados enjoys a tropical climate and has a porous clastic soil that gives the water extra filtration. The quality of sugar cane here is sublime, so it is logical that the rum produced in Barbados is among the best in the world.
