Gancia Americano is a red-coloured aperitif from Italy and is made from wine. This is then enriched with various plant extracts including gentian, wormwood and further bitter oranges. This creates a soft and floral aroma full of notes of gentian and soft red fruits. Cherries and raspberries both feature followed by a hint of vanilla! Its flavour is generally very bittersweet and very fruity. Grapefruit and oranges feature more here, making it taste slightly bitter. These are underpinned by an almost syrupy drag of gentian. To ensure that bitter does not take over, a gentle tone of honey blooms to give it a little more sweetness. Its finish consists mainly of red fruit and lingering notes of gentian.
