About the winery Trapiche was founded in 1883 with a small vineyard at the foot of the Andes, called El Trapiche. Started as a local company, Trapiche has now grown into a major winery with more than 1,200 hectares of vineyards. In addition, they work with more than 300 wine growers in the area to offer wine from the best terroirs in Mendoza. Vineyard and region Sourced from several private vineyards in the province of Mendoza, Argentina. The soil is sandy and is irrigated with water from the Andes. Vinification The grapes are destemmed, undergo a cold maceration and are pressed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 15 degrees for 21 days. This is followed by a short wood contact. Color Lemon yellow with a green glow. Scent: Red apples, ripe pineapple, peach. Taste Fruity wine, fresh acidity and long aftertaste. Serve at Lekker with all kinds of fish dishes (cod, sea bass, salmon) and dishes with white meat (chicken in cream sauce, chicken with mushrooms).
