Especially for The Guardians, Glenlivet's loyal fans, the distillery organised an online tasting in November 2013. Guardians from 37 countries were given the opportunity to choose their favourite whisky. The choice was between three samples curated by Distilling Manager Alan Winchester: Classic, Revival and Exotic. Exotic became the clear winner and it is now bottled as Guardians'Chapter. The whisky was blended from a variety of casks, including Bourbon barrels and Sherry butts. It is bottled un-chill filtered at a strength of 48.7%. From early April, it will also be available to non-Guardians.
