The whisky itself is inspired by the rugged climate of this island and the diversity you find within it. This ranges from the calm coastlines, to raging waves and the dark peaks of the Cuillin Mountains. Talisker Skye is a smooth whisky full of flavour; you will discover sweetness, fresh fruit influences, spices and maritime influences in it. A pleasant citrus sweetness comes alive in your glass and this gradually changes to subtle scents of mango. Maritime influences, notes of seaweed, wood and salt complement this. Initially, the flavours are soft and sweet with a touch of smoke in the background. Over time, this becomes more powerful and spicy. This progresses to a medium-length, dry finish that is smooth in flavour with a hint of peat smoke.
