Macallan 12 Years Double Cask is a flavourful single malt whisky that originates from Scotland's Speyside region. Located in the north of the country, this region is famous for the quality whiskies that come from this area. This one was allowed to undergo a 12-year maturation process in two different types of casks: ex-sherry casks and casks of American oak. The result is a whisky with a very approachable character. In the aroma, you will perceive creamy characteristics of toffee and butterscotch, supported by a fruity hint of apple. These notes continue into the flavour of the drink, where they interact with various spices, sultanas and caramel. In the background is a hint of citrus fruit.
