Kavalan Port Cask Concertmaster is a light brown whisky from Taiwan. This expression began its maturation process in American oak casks and was finished in ruby, tawny and vintage port casks. Its aroma is dominated by the delightful notes of red grapes, with spicy hints of cloves and a generous amount of vanilla. Rounded off by tobacco leaves and a savoury note of biscuit dough. Its flavour has a sweet core of brown sugar mixed with cinnamon and white pepper. It is here, too, that the port influences come to the fore, alongside various oak notes. The whole is rounded off by a fruity finish of raisins, plums and soft strawberry jam, with just a hint of tobacco.
