Girvan Patent Still is a single grain Scotch whisky bottled at Proof strenght 57.1%vol. Produced by William Grant&Sons. It is a beautiful release with flavours of marzipan, ripe melon and fresh tropical fruit. Girvan is a grain whisky: light in aromas and gently sweet in flavour. Due to the high alcohol content, the aroma comes across as quite concentrated, it therefore best to add a few drops of pure spring water. Wonderful grain whisky that was bottled at cask strength without chilled filtration. Fresh fruit notes, aromas of melon and freshly baked bread. The Girvan Patent Still Proof Strength won a silver medal at the ‘World whisky awards’ in 2015.
