Darkness 8 Years Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish is a unique expression. At the heart of the Darkness expression lies an 8-year-old single malt Scotch whisky that has first been matured in ex-bourbon casks. The whisky is then transferred to bespoke Oloroso sherry octave casks for at least three months. The small casks provide a higher surface-to-volume ratio compared to the much larger sherry casks, resulting in greater cask influence and more of those intense sherried notes.
