About the winery The unique brand Barramundi, from Murray-Darling, Australia, stands for fruity, no-nonsense wines with an excellent price/quality ratio. Wines that understand the needs of the market, but also the true meaning of Australia: “don't make life too difficult!”. In the glass this translates into pleasant wines from Shiraz and Chardonnay, among others. Vineyard and region Sourced from several vineyards in Victoria, a wine region in southeastern Australia. Vinification After harvesting, a cold maceration of the skins starts to extract color and flavor. The fermentation starts at a controlled temperature of 24 degrees and ends at 20 degrees. During these 10 days, the juice is regularly pumped over the peels. This gives the wine more color and flavor. The wine then undergoes six months of wood aging in new American oak. Color Ruby red. Scent Blackcurrants with pepper, licorice and wood. Taste Full wine with notes of ripe plums, chocolate, herbs and vanilla. Velvety soft tannins. Serve at Delicious with eggplant with Parmesan cheese. Also delicious with a T-bone steak from the barbecue.
