Don Papa is made on the island of Negros in the Philippines, better known to locals as Sugarlandia. The namesake of Don Papa rum, an unsung hero and a mystic, Papa Isio was one of the dominant figures in the Philippine revolution of late 9th century. Initially a foreman on a sugar plantation, his leadership and courage played a crucial role in the liberation of Negros from Spanish rule. Inspired by his legend, Don Papa captures his spirit and sense of magic in every bottle.
