Bright gold color. Intense aroma of honeysuckle, orange blossom and caramelized pineapple. In the mouth it is intense, with scalded pears and tropical notes. Very good and long aftertaste with honey, caramel and citrus fruits. Quinta da Devesa Port Wines are produced exclusively from vinified and matured batches on site. Since 1941, the crops considered of superior quality by the family's winemakers have been stored and matured in wooden hooves. These special wines are now used to produce the Port Wines Quinta da Devesa. Robert Parker notes of Mark Squires: "The style here is acidity and complexity. The tawnies eschew fruitiness in favor of complexity, making even the 10 seem older than it is. Not everyone will prefer that style, but I liked it great. It gave them some distinction. Often they exceeded their categories."
