Kopke 30 Years is a smooth, rich but not anointing port.
Nice balance between dried apricots and nutty complexity. Good balance with an appealing nose, high age and perfect balance. Perhaps the best 30-year-old we have ever tasted - layers of caramel, penuche and butterscotch - a highly refined blend.
Kopke Port is the oldest port house. Founded in 1638 by Nicolau Kopke and his son Cristiano, who came to Portugal as representatives of the Hanseatic League, the house has been run for generations by different representatives of the Kopke family, giving it an excellent reputation for its wines.
