Pineau des Charentes is a fortified wine (mistelle) from western France, mainly consisting of grape juice (moût) mixed with young cognac from the same vineyard. The alcohol content typically varies between 16% and 22%, often around 17% for commercially available cuvées.
Colour and aroma: golden hue with fruity aromas, honey and vanilla notes.
Serving suggestions: ideal as an aperitif, with foie gras, starters or desserts. Serve chilled (approx. 8–10°C) without ice.
