Majestic Castle Mountain stands above the fertile Riebeek Valley below and offers a rich diversity of soils, where hand-selected vineyards of lesser-known varieties thrive under the dry land conditions of the Swartland wine region. Klein Kasteelberg showcases terroir diversity through blends of limited release varieties such as Mourvèdre, Marsanne and Grenache.
Different vineyards were vinified separately and the final blend made after wine had spent about 3 months on coarse lees. Only free-flowing juice was used and wines were fermented in stainless steel tanks at very low temperatures.
Decadent tropical fruit and a hint of spice, a concentrated mid palate and a long, juicy finish.
Serve well chilled as a glass on its own or pair nicely with many dishes because of its layered flavour profile and well-balanced acidity
