Family actor Roel Vanderstukken is launching his own gin. Three varieties, to be precise: Marie, Elsa and Fons. He is collaborating with Limburg chef Giovani Oosters, who in 2003 had to survive on a desert island in Expedition Robinson. ‘For Elsa, we use coriander, lemon verbena and juniper berries. Marie smells and tastes sweet thanks to regional products from Hasselt: speculaas, hazelnut and chocolate. Fons is masculine with star anise, pepper, cinnamon and coriander,’ the duo explains. Valentine gin has been specially created for Valentine's Day. With its flavours of raspberry, ginger, rose petals and rhubarb, it has everything it takes to seduce you. The spiciness of the ginger contrasts sharply with the freshness of the rhubarb. Here you can taste winter and spring in one glass.
