VARIETY 100% Merlot
SOIL TYPE: South-facing terraced vineyard sheltered from the mistral. Floors made of sandstone limestone more or less mixed with clay.
WINEMAKING: The grapes are harvested at optimal maturity, destemmed and crushed. Maceration at promote the extraction of color and tannins. Controlled fermentation temperature and maceration for 10 days. There color and tannins are extracted thanks to daily pumping over and several esse are separated until assembly The free-run wine and the press wine are separated until blending
TASTING: Pretty ruby red color with purplish reflections for this Merlot. The nose expresses itself fully on the red fruit, strawberry and redcurrant, pleasantly mixing notes of piperade and white pepper. Balanced, the mouth plays on suppleness more than power offering the palate a sensation of freshness stimulated by fresh fruit under the cover of young and crunchy tannins.
FOOD AND WINE: Serve between 16 and 18° with a nice platter of charcuterie and cheese. He served with grilled meats, pizza or summer salads. A red wine ideal for red wine lovers even in the middle of summer. Ready to drink but can be kept for 4 years.
