Bowmore 12 Year comes from the Scottish whisky island of Islay, located west of the Scottish mainland. The drink is amber in colour and was allowed to mature for no less than 12 years before being bottled in its 70cl bottle. This makes for a characterful end product. In the aroma, you will perceive intense hints of smoke and peat, supported by softer notes of sweet honey, fresh lime and red fruit. The flavour of the whisky is also very versatile. It is characterised with influences of burnt oak and a maritime influence of sea salt, as well as notes of creamy vanilla, again a sweet influence of honey and caramel. In the aftertaste, you will experience spicy hints of cocoa and cinnamon.
