Jim Beam Double Oak fully covers the charge. After an initial barrel maturation, a second maturation followed, giving the whiskey gains in complexity. The first maturation gives the whiskey body, the second makes it dress up! In terms of value for money, Jim Beam's Double Oak is just perfect. Whether you consume the blend pure, with ice or with a blender is entirely up to you. Beam Suntory had the Double Oak first aged in new American oak barrels (as is customary in the US) followed by a second four-year maturation in other bourbon barrels. The taste is a spicy bourbon with familiar caramel aromas, vanilla, wood tones and the necessary fine spices in the background.
