Hints of smoke and toffee open in the nose with notes of sugared barley, honey and citrus complementing this. You can detect dried fruit, maritime notes, hints of peat smoke, brown sugar and a hint of coconut among others. The flavour is intense, but at the same time smooth: vanilla, butterscotch, dried fruit, orange starch and layers of smoke emerge. The finish of this Octomore is reminiscent of burnt sugar, coconut, sea salt and peat smoke.
