Since 1896, all Mortlach whiskies have been distilled 2.81 times. The liquid flows 0.81 times more often than normal scotch criss-crossing through six copper stills, each with a unique shape. It is science, enhanced by the magic of ‘The Wee Witchie’, our smallest kettle.

The Wee Witchie has been around for over 120 years. Since then, we haven't dented a buts or changed a detail. Why not? Because it is precisely on the inside of this copper champion that creates the rich flavour to which Mortlach owes its reputation as ‘ BEAST OF DUFFTOWN ’.

This 12-year-old single malt scotch is our tribute to the cauldron in which the beast is born.

The scotch is matured in European and American oak, for that unique, rich and robust flavour for which Mortlach is known.
