This Kingsbarns, Doocot, from the Kingdom of Fife in the Scottish Lowlands, captures the imagination. After all, this whisky blend is made from two different types of cask:
first-fill ex-bourbon barrels and STR casks (Shaved, Toasted and Re-charred).
DOOCOT is full of sweet, fruity notes and is light, intensely fruity and floral, complemented by a rich colour derived from the high-quality bourbon casks in which the whisky matured. It consists of the same spirit as Kingsbarns’ first release, Dream to Dram, but with longer oak maturation, allowing the complexity to develop whilst maintaining balance.
