Kilchoman Vintage 2009 is the fourth release in the Kilchoman Vintage series. The whisky is non-chill filtered and contains no added colourings. It has been partly matured in first-fill and refill bourbon casks, whilst three Oloroso casks from 2008 have been selected to add an extra fruity character to the whisky. The whisky has a slightly peaty nose with hints of citrus in the background. The flavour is sweet at first, followed by ripe fruit and a touch of smoke. Like the flavour, the Vintage 2009 has a long finish of sweet fruit and a touch of smoke.
