The Glenrothes Peated Cask Reserve concerns a whisky that has been finished in casks that previously contained peated whisky. This whisky is reminiscent of the brand's old style, when lightly-turfed whisky was more often produced. The nose contains notes of toffee, fruit and charred wood. On the palate, one tastes chocolate, pepper, wood, smoke and light caramel. The finish is spicy and medium-long.
