Glenmorangie Nectar D'or Sauternes Cask is an amber-coloured single malt whisky from the Highland region of Scotland. This whisky was first allowed to mature in American oak bourbon casks, before receiving the finish from hand-selected wine casks from Sauternes. On the nose come fresh aromas of sharp lemon followed by lime and orange peel, creamy vanilla pods along with dates follow the scent. The aromas conclude with hints of toasted oak and coconut. Its taste is silky smooth of warmed gingerbread paired with nutmeg and toasted almonds, as the flavour develops the taste of sweet honey and meringue emerges. The finish is sweet and smooth with citrus peel and vanilla cream, the traces of ginger and nutmeg being the last to be tasted.
