Cotswolds is a golden single malt whisky from the Cotswolds, England. It is the very first whisky produced in this region and has been matured in first-fill oak barrels. This gives the whisky a very sweet nose, starting with honey and butterscotch and layered with light fruit. Peaches and apricots are the predominant notes here, with just a hint of marzipan. Its flavour begins with a strong presence of malt mixed with dark sugar. These sweet notes are balanced by a generous portion of spices and caramelised orange. Its finish lingers quite a while with resinous notes and sweet hints of dark red fruit. It concludes with a hint of treacle.
