Benriach Cask Strength Batch 1 is a single malt whisky with a beautiful amber colour. This whisky was first allowed to mature in bourbon casks before receiving the finish from oloroso sherry casks. Opening this whisky releases fresh aromas of orange followed by burnt brown sugar. The flavour comes from the root a ginger accompanied the light tones of mint, the characteristics of brittle peanut along with fennel give the finish to the flavour.In the aftertaste, the brown sugar lingers long on the tongue complemented by the sweetness of sultanas.
