About the winery

Punctum literally means “the crossroads”. The winery is located in Las Pedroñeras, at the crossroads of the cities of Cuenca, Ciudad Real and Albacete. It was founded in 2005 by the Fernández Cifuentes family. Punctum is now Spain's most award-winning organic winery, producing modern wines from Tempranillo and Graciano, among others, and a range of international grape varieties, both well-known (Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon) and surprising (Viognier and Petit Verdot).

Vineyard and region

From two biodynamic Demeter-certified vineyards, Finca el Fabián and Las Pedroñeras, in La Mancha, Spain. The vines are 10 years old. Summers are hot and winters are cool in La Mancha, making the area very suitable for biodynamic viticulture.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested at night and undergo cold maceration. Fermentation then begins at a controlled temperature of 28 degrees in stainless steel tanks.

Colour Purple-red.

Aroma Red berries and cherries.

Taste Fruity wine with a nice balance between tannins and acidity.

Serve with Delicious with spaghetti and meatballs. Also delicious with paella with chorizo.
