Château Pouyanne is a family-run estate in Budos, in the southern part of the Bordeaux region, with vineyards on gravelly, clayey and limestone-rich soils typical of the Graves appellation.

The composition varies slightly depending on the cuvée, but for the classic Graves Rouge, the blend consists mainly of:

• 65% Merlot
• 30% Cabernet Sauvignon
• 5% Petit Verdot

An accessible yet authentic Graves: fruit-forward, elegant and balanced, with sufficient structure for a few years’ bottle ageing. The warm 2022 vintage provided extra concentration and ripeness without losing the typical freshness of Graves.

No specific oak ageing is mentioned for the standard Château Pouyanne Graves Rouge. Any ageing is done traditionally and supports the fruit without dominant oak notes.

A classic Bordeaux blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. Aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, morello cherry and subtle minerality. On the palate, it is supple and fruit-driven with soft tannins, a fresh structure and an elegant, long finish. Delicious with entrecôte, lamb, confit de canard and mature hard cheeses.
