The Woodford Reserve Wheat Whiskey is based on old American whiskey traditions. Wheat has traditionally played an important role within the making of whiskey from America and this Woodford whiskey also features this grain abundantly. Indeed, 52% of the grains used are wheat and this is further supplemented by malt (20%), corn (20%), and rye (8%). The grain selection and the method used give Woodford Reserve Wheat Whiskey a fruity and floral profile.
The aroma is aromatic, combining spices with various fruits. Around this you will find delicate, floral layers with also soft notes of vanilla and brown sugar. Pleasantly spicy on the palate with subtle notes of tropical fruits as well. Hints of cocoa and mint add further depth. The finish is dry and combines cocoa with hints of apple.
