The Sauvignon Blanc comes from carefully selected vineyards on the Constantial estate. Fresh coastal breezes cool the vines, allowing the grapes to retain acidity a fruity character. The wine is fermented for 9 months and aged in a combination of large French oak barrels (80%, 20% of which are new) and concrete vats (20%).

Tasting note

The terroir is immediately apparent in the glass. White nectarine, grapefruit and Cape gooseberry go hand in hand both in aroma and flavour. Acidity and spicy notes form the backbone and dominate on the palate. A lingering mineral finish completes the experience. Although beautifully balanced , this wine is still developing. Drink now, but you can also easily keep this wine for another 3-5 years.

This wine goes well with seafood dishes, a Thai curry with lemongrass or a savoury tart tatin.
