We are delighted to present to you THE GLENLIVET 40 Year old, a rare and refined whisky that embodies the epitome of craftsmanship and patience.
The Glenlivet 40y has matured for four decades in carefully selected oak casks, resulting in unparalleled depth and complexity. To enhance the fruity flavour, a unique sherry cask has been used, conditioned with a blend of Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherries.
This whisky has limited availability, only 1,500 bottles worldwide, of which only 10 in the Benelux. The Glenlivet 40y is a prized possession for any collector and enthusiast.
Production begins with the finest barley and purest water. After fermentation and distillation, the whisky matures for 40 years in specially selected oak casks, resulting in a complex and refined flavour.
Nose: Rich and fruity with notes of strawberry jam, sultanas, dark cherries, cinnamon, nutmeg and toasted oak.
Flavour: Layers of poached plums, charred orange, dark chocolate, stewed red apples and liquorice.
Finish: Long and warming, with a lingering sweetness.
