This new whisky, matured in French oak XO cognac barrels, is characterized by notes of soft plums and sweet raisins, the formidable power of the deep blue oceans, followed by a rich fruitiness, the salty taste of sea salt and spicy smoke. Medium to full body. The nose is mild and dry, yet rich. Fruit overtones suggest sweet malt bread with sultan raisins, dates and dried figs. A creamy soft mouthfeel creates an intense flavor that starts richly sweet and then quickly turns into slightly salty, smoky and fruity. With pleasant sweet hints of sultanas and figs in the mid-palate, accompanied by slowly emerging peppery spice and smokiness.
