Gouden Carolus Blaasveld Broek (46% vol.) refers to the beautiful nature reserve 'Het Broek' next to Stokerij De Molenberg in Blaasveld. Peat (dried peat) was extracted there for centuries, which at the time mainly served as fuel for local residents and also for drying barley malt.
The local tradition of peat extraction gets a new chapter with this expression. Gouden Carolus Blaasveld Broek is distilled from a specially formulated brew with peated barley malt. This gives this yellow-gold whiskey a softly smoked touch, in combination with full-bodied aromas of oak and vanilla.
