Pedro is a limited release on the occasion of the 11th anniversary of the first whiskey release from Brouwerij & Stokerij Het Anker. This edition was pre-matured in a mix of Bourbon and Anker barrels, followed by a finish of almost 2 years in American oak Vermouth barrels. These were previously used to ripen Spanish vermouth, made from Ximinéz grapes. Legend has it that Pedro Ximinéz, a soldier of Emperor Charles V, brought these grapes from the German Rhine Valley to Spain. This floral whiskey has a slightly sweet taste with a fruity aftertaste.
