Dalmore 15 years is a refined Highland single malt scotch whisky. A whiskey that has been allowed to mature in four different barrels, starting with American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, and three different sherry barrels. Amoroso sherry, Apostoles sherry and finally Matusalem oloroso sherry barrels. This accumulation of sherry creates very characteristic influences that are immediately noticeable in its aroma. Namely the combination of chocolate and orange, certainly not an unusual combo and therefore provides a very attractive scent. But of course this is not the only thing this Dalmore has to offer. In the background of the chocolate and orange you will find a bouquet of different scents of dried flowers and a selection of herbs. Its taste is also very controversial, as mentioned earlier, the combination of chocolate and orange makes itself known again, but takes a drastically different turn. Livelier with curaçao, winter herbs and ginger for a warming sensation. Hints of anise refresh the whole. Its finish contains notes of salty barley and smoky espresso.
