A'Bunadh, whose name is the Celtic word for origin, embodies the whiskey tradition of the 19th century. This single malt is still filtered as it was then, matured exclusively in sherry casks and bottled at cask strength, hence its label of “Original Cask Strength”. The result is an exceptionally pure whiskey with a rich, creamy, powerful taste and an intense raisin character.
COLOUR Gold, amber with ruby red reflections. Nose: particularly powerful and complex aromas on the basis of sherry, with a light peat scent. Evolving into fruity aromas ranging from mango to red apple.
TASTE Full, slightly smoked malt flavor in the beginning with present but not dominant sherry, which evolves into spicy notes of hazelnut and dark chocolate.
FINISH A long, round and warm aftertaste that evolves into citrus fruits and cocoa and ends on gingerbread and peat.
