Sambuca Lazzaroni is a sweet, strong liqueur whose base consists of essential oils extracted by steam distillation of the star anise seeds with the addition of a concentrated solution of sugar and other natural flavors.

USE: Drink it straight or with the "fly" (3 coffee beans). Traditionally added to coffee for the "caffè corretto". With the addition of cold water, this is called "white ghost" because the color of Sambuca will change to opaque white, resembling a light smoke. It can be used in cocktails, instead of gin or vodka.

The original recipe from the 1800s shows Anisette's name. Today it is produced faithfully according to this formulation. Sweet and velvety liqueur, thick and oily, with intense and delicate flavors, with an alcohol content of not less than 38% Alc. / Full. Absolutely transparent and colorless. On contact with the palate it remains smooth with stark flashes.
