La Compagnie des Indes selects rums, mostly from the Caribbean and Central America, and creates original and daring blends.
Florian Beuchet, the company's founder, chooses the rums after discovering this or that particularly interesting vintage on his travels.
He also makes a point of ensuring that no artificial flavourings are added to the brand's products. Rum that tastes like rum! This is the philosophy of the Compagnie des Indes, which we can only endorse...
The Tricorne rum we present here is a blend of rums from Indonesia, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago and Reunion Island. This unique process involves blending three different varieties of rum from around the world.
Tricorne is a skilful blend of rhum agricole (distilled from pure sugar cane juice), rhum de mélasse (molasses rum, also known as traditional or industrial rum) and Batavia Arak (rum of Indonesian origin).
Awarded a silver medal in 2017 at the International Rum Conference in Madrid, this Tricorne rum will literally take you on a journey...
Nose
The nose is eloquent, developing instantly on the scents of fresh cane. This structure is punctuated by stone fruit scents, enlivened by herbaceous perfumes.
Palate
The palate is particularly round and greedy. Notes of brown sugar mingle with those of banana, creating a generous moment.
Finish
The finish is verdant, guided by the herbaceous notes of the nose. A hint of spice surprises at the very end.
