Don Papa Gayuma is a super premium rum that pays homage to the unique rituals performed by the shamans of Mt Kanlaon and Isla del Fuego (“the island of fire”). The rum is matured for three years in ex-bourbon barrels of American oak, before undergoing a double barrel finish: 6 months in ex-Rioja barrels with high toast, followed by 3 months in rich, warming and smoky barrels of toasted oak, which first housed Scotch whisky from the legendary island of Islay. Dark amber colour. Peaty nose. Soft and delicate vanilla, light orange peel, deep cocoa and hints of clove and mint. Smoky and spicy.
