The tannins are firm and a bit dry. Good persistence with notes of tonka bean and a very discreet touch of caramelization. Quinta da Devesa has an ancient history. In 1844, the famous Baron of Forrester placed this property on the first map of the demarcated Douro region. But the main story of this property began in the last century, in 1941, when the Fortunato family acquired the Quinta, beginning a new phase of greater investment in wine production, with a special focus on Port wines. Later, references to DOC Douro wines also appeared, strengthening its presence on the national and international wine market. Today, Quinta da Devesa is still an independent, future-oriented family business, present in various international markets.
