Stellenrust Estate was founded in 1928 in the renowned South African wine region of Stellenbosch. The domain consists of approximately 400 hectares, half of which is located in the 'Golden Triangle' region, which is internationally known for its fertile red subsoil. The other half is high on the Bottelary Hills with a much cooler climate and a light sea breeze that blows over from Cape Town and which benefits the minerality and freshness of the white wines. The wine comes from vineyards on the Golden Triangle farm, more than 500 hectares in size and the proud property of Stellenrust, among others. The subsoil of these vineyards is generally regarded as the best terroir for wines in South Africa. Dark berry color with some dark chocolate aromas. A soft and lush taste in the mouth. Very juicy with elegant tannins and a strong impression of berries. Pleasant drinking and passe-partout wine. Goes well with lamb with mint and also with savory meat dishes.
