About the winery In the heart of Stellenbosch, at the foot of the famous Simonsberg, are the vineyards of the German wine family Sperling. The country house was purchased in 1938 by Hans Otto Hoheisen and his wife Deli, after which the Delheim domain was named. In the 1950s it was taken over by Michael Sperling and his wife Vera, who laid the foundation for the wine company as we know it today. Delheim is best known for its Chenin Blancs and Pinotage. Vineyard and region Sourced from several vineyards in Stellenbosch, South Africa. Vinification The grapes are destemmed, crushed and cooled. Peel contact is kept to a minimum. The fermentation takes place at a low temperature for 10 days. Color Light pink. Scent Cranberry, pomegranate, floral. Taste Fresh and lively with a balanced acidity. Serve at Lekker as an aperitif or with a summer salad with raspberries and goat cheese. Also delicious with baked salmon.
