Typical Mediterranean liqueur, still made according to our original recipe from the last century, through the infusion of untreated lemon peels. It should be served chilled and ice cold; Recommended as a pure aster meal drink or added to long drinks, fruit salads, lemon and fruit ice creams.
INGREDIENTS: Water, refined European beet sugar, alcohol, infusion of untreated lemon peels. At least 200 g lemons per liter of product.
USES: It is usually served plain, at room temperature or chilled. Enjoyed as an aperitif or as a digestif after a meal. Excellent ingredient for cocktails.
"Hazy golden yellow emerald green color. Bright aromas and flavors of lemon peel and oil with a satiny, spicy, fruity sweet medium to full body and a warming, nuanced, long finish with notes of honey and lemon gelato. A sensationally vibrant and pure limoncello."
The origins are mysterious and the theories numerous, as always. Some remember the fishermen's habit of drinking a little lemon liqueur in the morning to ward off the cold. Others speak of diligent monks who wanted to preserve the joys of life between one prayer and another, when the roads were dangerous and the seas populated with marauding Saracens... Anyway, Limoncino (or limoncello) is one of the best known and most prized gastronomic products of the Italian tradition!.
