Originally from French Burgundy, chardonnay is found all over the world. The chardonnay grape's adaptability allows it to thrive in both warm and cold climates. South African chardonnay is easier to drink than French, and according to connoisseurs, lighter and more tropical than Californian chardonnay. Besides, it is nice to know: chardonnay is one of the ‘youngest’ wines in this country - it has only been grown since the 1980s.
This chardonnay from Sierra Noble also meets the above flavour typology. You will recognise this chardonnay by its typical citrus-like flavour, with hints of tropical fruit. A fresh and good glass of wine.
Pour the wine with a cosy drink or with a tasty meal salad, such as Caesar salad or a salad with chicken and mango. The wine is also delicious with dishes with scallops, white fish and mild curry dishes.
