About the winery The unique brand Barramundi, from Murray-Darling, Australia, stands for fruity, no-nonsense wines with an excellent price/quality ratio. Wines that understand the needs of the market, but also the true meaning of Australia: “don't make life too difficult!”. In the glass this translates into pleasant wines from Shiraz and Chardonnay, among others Vineyard and region Sourced from several vineyards in Victoria, a wine region in southeastern Australia. Vinification The grapes are harvested at night to preserve freshness. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 14-16 degrees. After fermentation, the wine remains to mature on the lees ('sur lie'). This softens the wine and gives the wine extra complexity. The wine then matures further in stainless steel with short wood contact. Color Lemon yellow with a green glow. Scent Nectarine, melon, orange blossom and notes of wood and flint. Taste Lively wine with notes of lemon curd, nectarine, pineapple and subtle notes of wood. Serve with Lekker with pork shoulder with apple. Also delicious with panna cotta with vanilla poached peaches.
