Grape variety/Vinification
The wine is made exclusively from Carmenère grapes sourced from Cochagua Valley.
The 10-day fermentation begins at low temperatures gradually increasing to 24° C to preserve the fruity flavours and prevent excessive tannin extraction. The wine then spends 7 days on the skins for additional colour extraction and to preserve black fruit aromas. The wine receives a maturation of 8-10 months aged in French and American oak barrels.
Tasting note
Sutil Reserve Carmenère has a beautiful deep red purple colour, in the nose aromas of black fruits like blueberries and cherries, tobacco and cedar. The palate is full, soft and creamy with a nice balance of soft tannins with ripe fruit and wood, followed by a soft long fruity finish.
