The Manoir d'Apreval is a family estate located on the coast north of the Pays d'Auge by the sea between Honfleur and Trouville. In keeping with traditions and appellations, the Manoir d'Apreval team exploits its high stem apple and pear orchards organically and produces pure juices, with no added sugars, and vintage ciders with natural effervescence that allow them to preserve the best expression of their terroir.
‘A Calvados specially designed for making cocktails that will also please lovers of young eaux-de-vie. Clean and original, it brings out the bitterness and fruitiness of the apple.
Cider clarified and fermented for 6 months on fine lees.
Simple distillation in a column boiler
Aged in 400-2,200-litre barrels with depleted tannins to limit the woody interference of the oak on the Calvados' fruitiness.
Blend of Calvados AOC aged 2 to 3 years.
40% vol alc.
Colour: White gold, crystal clear.
Nose: Fruity fresh apple with liquorice. Slight hint of smoke in the background.
Mouth: Open-hearted, smooth attack with aromas of green apples giving a sense of freshness, opening with spicy and bitter notes.
Cocktail: Excellent base for many cocktails, you can let your imagination run wild or check out our cocktail ideas.
As an aperitif: Pure, served with ice or on crushed ice.
At meals: Served with pure iced over smoked or marinated fish (herring, salmon, eel). On crushed ice with chocolate desserts or in Trou Normand.
For cooking: For flambés, or in sorbets and pastries.
As a digestif: Pure or in a coffee cup.
